Le Masterklass se poursuit et se bonifie suite à son succès et surtout grâce au succès des travaux réalisés par les stagiaires récompensés et reconnus sous forme de prix, expositions, livres… Cet été aux Rencontres d’Arles dans le cadre des Voies Off, une projection publique des slideshows de l’ensemble des participants a été présentée dans la cour du Palais de l’Archevêché. Le Masterklass unique en son genre, se poursuit en 2018-2019. Unique, puisqu’il propose un suivi sur toute une année, dans un loft au cœur de Paris, avec Klavdij Sluban, personnalité reconnue et estimée du monde de la photographie. Le Masterklass propose des rendez-vous en groupe, quatre sur une année, mais surtout un suivi individuelet personnalisé, en fonction de l’évolution photographique de chaque stagiaire.
La bourse du Masterklass moins de 30 ans est une bourse annuelle qui permet de participer au Masterklass durant 12 mois, avec Klavdij Sluban.
Photographes, étudiants, passionnés de photo, peuvent y participer. Il n’y a pas de droit d’inscription. Au programme : 4 rencontres en groupe et un minimum de 8 rencontres individuelles, soit une par mois.
Accompagné(e) par Klavdij Sluban, la/le stagiaire développera durant une année une écriture personnelle afin de construire une série photographique cohérente. L’éditing sera la clef de voûte de cette démarche axée sur la photographie contemporaine.
La/le bénéficiaire de la bourse devra assister obligatoirement aux quatre rencontres en groupe. Les 8 autres rencontres individuelles se feront soit par skype soit dans un loft au cœur de Paris.
La bourse du Masterklas moins de trente ans équivaut à 3000,00€.

Les candidat(e)s doivent soumettre un dossier en un seul dossier par internet composé de : 15 photos en basse résolution, une courte biographie, un synopsys du projet à faire, sidéjà une idée, mais ce n’est pas obligatoire, une brève lettre de motivation. (Bref équivaut à moins de 500 signes).

Le Masterklass Grant under 30
12.2018 – 11.2019
Le Masterklas Grant under 30 is an annual grant providing the possibility to attend the 12 month Masterklass program with Klavdij Sluban, French photographer.
Photographers under 30 can apply. No other restriction. No entrance fee. The program consists of 4 group meetings and a minimum of 8 individual meetings, one per month. With Klavdij Sluban’s guidance, the recipient will develop a personal writing in order to build a coherent and meaningful project. Editing is the keystone of this total commitement to contemporary photography.
The recipient will have to attend physically the four group meetings in Paris. Individual meetings can be held either physically in a loft in the centre of Paris or by skype skype.
Le Masterklass Grant under 30 is equivalent to 3000,00€.

December 1 & 2, 2018 / March 30 & 31, 2019 /
June 29 & 30, 2019 / November 1, 2 & 3, 2019.
Entrants must submit a portfolio, all in one folder, of 15 images, a brief biography, a brief synopsis of a project if there is one, but it is not compulsory, a brief motivation letter. (brief = 500 signs maximum).

EAST TO EAST PHOTOGRAPHY: Monténégro et Albanie

East to East Photography Workshops a été fondé par Klavdij Sluban et Tereza Kozinc pour diffuser la photographie d’auteur en Europe centrale et Europe de l’Est.
Une première pour ce workshop extraordinaire d’une semaine dans les Balkans. Le Monténégro et l’Albanie seront parcourus de la mer Adriatique au lac Skadar, en passant par les pittoresques bouches de Kotor et la tumultueuse ville de Shkodra en Albanie. Klavdij voyage dans cette région depuis plus de vingt ans. Il a publié avec François Maspero « Balkans-Transit ».
Le Monténégro et l’Albanie sont deux pays fascinants à photographier. L’essor dynamique qu’ils connaissent change drastiquement le paysage, naturel comme urbain. Les traditions ancestrales se trouvent soumises au choc des temps modernes.
Particularité de ce workshop, tout le groupe loge dans une dans un ancien moulin à huile restauré en un mas spacieux. Son atmosphère d’origine a été préservée tout en étant équipé du confort moderne et chef en cuisine. Situé dans le village médiéval de Stari Bar, au Sud-Est du Monténégro, entouré de montagnes, au bord de l’Adriatique, sa position est idéale pour visiter les environs par bateau, minibus, à pied…
L’expérience et la passion de Klavdij permettent à chaque participant de développer une écriture photographique personnelle et créer une série cohérente. L’editing se fait au quotidien.

East to East Photography Workshops was founded by Klavdij Sluban and Tereza Kozinc to spread author photography in Central and Easter Europe.
A first for this extraordinary workshop in the Balkans. Montenegro and Albania will be photographed from the Adriatic sea to lake Skadar, Boka Kotorska and lively and chaotic Shkodra in Albania. Klavdij has been traveling in the region for 20 years and will share and transmit his passion of this part of Europe still to be discovered.
Montenegro and Albania are two fascinating countries to be visited. The economic growth is opening, grotesquely changing the urban landscapes. Clashes occur between the sea and the mountains as well as between traditional and modern life.
The peculiarity of this workshop is that the whole group stays in an old olive mill restaured into a spacious residence. It is locatrd in Stari Bar, Montenegro, a medieval village between mountains and the Adriatic Sea. From there, daily photography outings will be made by boat, minibus, on foot…
Each participant will develop a personal photographic writing in order to create a coherent series with Klavdij’s guidance. Everyday editing sessions will be held.

Ljubljana, the “green” capital, is best beloved for being walkable all around. Slovenians’ hospitality and kindness makes photographing as challenging as pleasant.
Klavdij Sluban’s knowledge of Slovenia gives this workshop a unique way to discover the country where he spent his childhood. He is fully committed in the country’s art scene.
Main genres in contemporary photography will be developed thanks to the mix of traditional culture and modern way of life. From natural wonders such as lakes Bled and Bohinj, a hidden Slovenia will be discovered with gigantic factories. A train trip will show the effects of post industrialization along the river Sava. An unexpected world unveals in the squatted areas in Ljubljana which have developed into vivid underground and art districts that come to life at night.
One’s personal photographic writing will be developed thanks to K. Sluban’s capacity of sharing and transmitting photography. He helps each participant to find their skills as an author. Photographing outdoors will be followed by everyday sessions of editing, main pillar to build a coherent and meaningful series.
The specificity of the workshop consists of fully taking care of the participants during the whole time of their staying, including accomodation (central, cozy, pleasant), meals (local traditional, modern) transport (car, train, bus, boat) and printing of the photos.
