«The illiterate of the future, it has been said, will not be the man who cannot read the alphabet, but the one who cannot take a photograph. But must we not also count as illiterate the photographer who cannot read his own pictures?»
Walter Benjamin, Short History of Photography, 1931.
Le Masterklass offers individualised and personalised support during one year to help participants develop a sensitive and meaningful photography under the guidance of Klavdij Sluban, renowned and appreciated for his uncompromising expression and his work with teenagers in prison.
Dates: December 2025 – November 2026.
With one meeting per month, three in group and nine individual, the in-person encounters take place in a spacious loft in the heart of Paris.
Guided throughout by Klavdij’s experience and generosity, each participant completes a project according to an individual program adapted to one’s own progression. Writing texts will be part of the project development. Editing, the cornerstone of Le Masterklass, allows for a better understanding of one’s work and, therefore, the direction to take in order to create a coherent portfolio, exhibition or book publication.
In one word, a tailor-made Masterklass.
