Le programme de ce workshop printanier est un joyeux mix de visite de la capitale Skopje et de road trip à travers la Macédoine. Nous voyagerons dans notre mini-bus. Donc visite des lieux les plus incroyables et arrêts à volonté.
Le pays est resté authentique dans ses campagnes.
Et pas d’inquiétude, à Skopje de l’architecture brutaliste des barres d’habitation yougoslaves au bazar traditionnel, les époques, les contrastes, l’intensité de la vie offrent une plongée dans ce petit pays des Balkans aussi beau que complexe.
Avec visites de mosquées albanaises, monastères orthodoxes, et même…séance spéciale chez les derviches tourneurs!
De belles perspectives en vue!…
En collaboration exceptionnelle avec l’Institut Français de Skopje et la prestigieuse Galerie Nationale de Macédoine, ancien hammam rénové en magnifique musée contemporain. c’est là que se feront nos rencontres de groupe, editings et l’exposition pop up en conclusion de cette semaine de création!
Le prix du workshop est de 1590€.
Sont inclus le prix du workshop, le road trip à travers le pays dans notre mini-bus ainsi que les deux nuits dans la villa au lac d’Ohrid, en chambre individuelle, du lundi 29 Avril au mercredi 1er Mai.
Si vous voyagez en avion, arrivée et départ: aéroport international de Skopje.
Notre programme:
Nous dînons tous ensemble le dimanche 28 Avril à Skopje pour faire connaissance en mode détendu.
Lundi matin rencontre en groupe, présentation…en montrant vos photographies sous forme de tirages imprimés.
Lundi après-midi, en route!
Lundi soir et mardi soir nous dormons sur les bords du lac d’Ohrid. En journée, road trips.
Mercredi soir retour à Skopje.
Jusqu’à Vendredi excursions dans les environs, dont Shuto Orizari, plus grande ville de Roms au monde, où Kusturica a filmé Le Temps des Gitans, editing et préparation de exposition à la Galerie Nationale, avec vernissage ouvert au public.
Puis dîner en fête!
Sont à la charge des participants-tes, les nuits à Skopje:  du dimanche 28 au lundi 29 Avril,  puis du mercredi 1er au samedi 4 Mai, ainsi que tous les repas et autres dépenses.
Des chambres/petits appartement peuvent être trouvés à partir de 15€ la nuit.
Les prix des repas sont plus que raisonnable. Et qui plus est, succulents…
Nos rendez-vous de groupe à Skopje auront lieu à la Galerie Nationale de Macédoine.
Des chambres / petits appartements tout confort à petit prix peuvent être trouvés des deux côtés du fleuve. Les distances sont très courtes.

The programme of this spring workshop is a happy mix of a visit to the capital Skopje and a road trip through Macedonia. We will travel in our mini-bus. So we will visit the most incredible places and stop at will. The country has remained authentic in its countryside. 
And don’t worry, in Skopje, from the brutalist architecture of the Yugoslav housing blocks to the traditional bazaar, the periods, the contrasts, the intensity of life offer a dive into this small Balkan country as beautiful as it is complex.
With visits to Albanian mosques, orthodox monasteries, and even…a special session with the whirling dervishes!Great prospects in sight!…

In collaboration with the French Institute of Skopje and the prestigious National Gallery of Macedonia, a former hammam renovated into a magnificent contemporary museum. It is there that we will have all of our group meetings, editing sessions and as a conclusion a pop-up exhibition!

The price of the workshop is 1590€.
Are included the price of the workshop, the road trip through the country in our privative mini-bus, and the two nights in the villa on Lake Ohrid, in a single room, from Monday 29th April to Wednesday 1st May.

If you are travelling by plane, arrival and departure: Skopje International Airport. 

Our programme:
We have dinner together on Sunday 28th April to get to know each other in a relaxed way. 
Monday morning group meeting, presentation…showing your photographs in the form of prints.
Monday afternoon, on the road!
Monday evening and Tuesday evening we sleep on the shores of Lake Ohrid. During the day, road trips.
Wednesday evening back to Skopje.
Until Friday excursions in the surroundings, including Shuto Orizari, the largest Roma town in the world, where Kusturica filmed Time of the Gypsies, editing and preparation of our pop-up exhibition at The National Gallery of Macedonia. With a public opening.  Then, dinner party! 

Nights in Skopje: Sunday 28 to Monday 29 April and Wednesday 1st to Saturday 4th May, as well as all meals and other expenses are at the participants’ expense. 
Rooms/small flats can be found from 15€ per night.
Meal prices are more than reasonable. And tasty, too…

All of our group meetings will be at the National Gallery of Macedonia in Skopje. 
Rooms/small flats with all comforts at low prices can be found on both sides of the river. The distances are very short.

  Unique in its approach of contemporary photography, proposing a one year series of group and individual encounters, the specificity of Le Masterklass lays in the fact that each participant is being offered an individual program lead by Klavdij SLUBAN, a master of photography, renowned and appreciated internationally.

Le Masterklass takes place in the heart of Paris, in a spacious and luminous artist loft from DECEMBER 2023 to NOVEMBER 2024.

Le Masterklass is made of 3 group meetings throughout the year, but most specially of  an individual coaching, according to the evolution of each participant’s evolution and creation..

This workshop consists of developing one’s personal photographic writing throughout a unique exploration of Belgrade. Klavdij Sluban’s capacity of sharing and transmitting photography helps each participant to find their skills as an author. Everyday photo sessions will be followed by a daily editing, main pillar to build a coherent and meaningful series.

Belgrade is one of Europe’s most happening cities and offers the most inspiring photographic ambiences. Its chaotic past unfolds in front of your lens: socialist blocks of the amazing Brutalist architecture contrast with remnants of the Habsburg legacy, Ottoman relics and socialist modernist monoliths.

The variety of situations and ambiences Belgrade offers will enable each participant to develop one’s own photographic language. From the old town to the most incredible Brutalist architecture in Novi Beograd where post-war Socialist architecture and monuments are still present. From places teeming with life like the city centre or night life on alternative river barges to quieter areas like Zemun with its narrow streets. And of course, the local rides by tram…

Price of the workshop : 850,00€.

This price includes the fee of the workshop. All other expenses are at the participant’s charge (travel, accommodation, food…). Restaurants for every day, group lunch and dinner, will be suggested at very affordable prices. We can help you regarding accommodation.

Masterklass individuel 2021 avec/with Klavdij Sluban

Un concept inédit sous forme de suivi individuel afin réaliser une série cohérente de photographies en vue d’une publication, d’une exposition, d’un prix, d’un concours, d’une résidence, d’une bourse… Comment faire l’editing le plus personnel, approprié, pertinent et original par rapport au but visé. L’accent sera également mis sur l’écrit : comment rédiger un texte de présentation de sa série photographique, une lettre de demande de subvention ou bien l’élaboration d’un CV.

Les conseils avisés de Klavdij Sluban sur la meilleure façon de constituer un dossier permettront de mettre en valeur les points forts de chaque participant-e pour les utiliser de la manière la plus efficace et permettront d’éviter les erreurs le plus souvent commises.

 

Klavdij Sluban est un photographe internationalement reconnu aux nombreuses expositions dans les institutions majeures, auteur d’une vingtaine de livres. Il est lauréat du prix Niépce, du prix de l’Académie des beaux-Arts, du prix European Publishers’ Award, de la Villa Kujoyama, de la Villa Médicis Hors-les-Murs, du prix Leica (Medal of Excellence) et élu artiste de l’année en Corée du Sud en 2017.

Sa renommée est fondée également sur ses capacités de transmission, pédagogie et enseignement de la photographie. Il fait des workshops et masterklass à travers le monde.

 

Ce Masterklass individuel est axé sur un projet spécifique avec une finalité clairement définie. La construction se fera par étapes, donc sur une série de rencontres.

La totalité du programme se fait par internet / Skype avec envoi de fichiers par wetransfer.

Le programme consiste en 4 rendez-vous de 2 heures chacun. Les rencontres sont fixées en commun en fonction de l’avancée du projet. Avant chaque rdv, le/la participant-e envoie au préalable tous les matériaux, photos, vidéos, textes…sur lesquels nous allons travailler.

 

Le prix du Masterklass individuel est de 670,00€.

An innovative concept based on an individual coaching in order to edit a coherent photographic series for a publication, an exhibition, a prize, a contest, a residency, a scholarship…and how to make the most personal, appropriate, pertinent and original editing in view of a specific goal. The writing part of a project will also be carefully elaborated: how to write a presentation text of one’s own series, an artist statement, a demand for a subvention or the presentation of a CV.

Under the guidance of Klavdij Sluban, each participant will personally benefit his sensible and valuable advices in order to point out their main assets and use them efficiently in the project but also to avoid the most common errors.

Klavdij Sluban is an internationally renowned photographer. He has exhibited in major institutions around the world and has published around 20 books. He is winner of the Niépce prize, prize of the Academy of Fine-Arts, The European Publishers’ Award, the Villa Kujoyama, the Villa Medicci Hors-les-Murs, Leica prize (Medal of Excellence) and has been elected Artist of the Year in South Corea in 2017.

He is also renowned for his capacity of transmitting and teaching photography organizing workshops and mastreklass around the world.

 

This individual Masterklass is focused on a specific project with a clearly defined finality. The construction will be made gradually, with a series of individual meetings via internet / Skype. All photos, docuents…will be sent by wetransfer.

 

The program consists of 4 meetings of 2 hours each. The meetings dates will be chosen in common with the participant, considering the progression of the project. All photos, documents…we will work on will be sent by the participant before each meeting.

 

The price of the individual Masterklass is 670,00€.

Possibility of extra sessions of 2 hours for 180,00€.
